2025’s Romance Travel Forum Delivers Powerful Business Opportunities & Lasting Connections in Cancun

The 2025 Romance Travel Forum (RTF), produced by Travel Show Marketing Group (TravelSMG), concluded its twelfth edition and largest so far with resounding success from June 4 - 7 at the brand-new AVA Resort Cancun. This exclusive B2B event brought together the industry’s leading Travel Suppliers with top-producing North American Travel Advisors who specialize in destination weddings, honeymoons, and other romantic getaways.

With a sold-out roster of nearly 200 Travel Advisors and over 100 global Supplier Partners, the Forum delivered a dynamic and immersive experience designed to drive business growth and deepen supplier relationships across the romance travel segment. Over the course of the 4-day program, attendees engaged in more than 4,100 one-to-one meetings, participated in targeted educational sessions, and connected through impactful and fun networking events.

“This year’s Forum was a celebration of the incredible partnerships and professionalism that continue to define the romance travel niche,” said Jennifer Fernandez, Senior Vice President of Events and Content at TravelSMG. “Romance Travel Forum brings together a community of passionate and driven Travel Advisors, and it’s an honor to create a space where they can learn, connect, and build meaningful business opportunities.”

Event Highlights Included:

Tailored Appointments & Peer Learning: RTF’s signature one-to-one meetings matched Travel Advisors with top-tier Supplier Partners based on mutual interest, resulting in over 4,000 curated business connections. Advisors also participated in peer-to-peer sessions, exchanging insights on current trends, sales strategies, and evolving client needs.

Exceptional Sponsorship Support: TravelSMG proudly partnered with standout sponsors who played an integral role in this year’s experience, including Mexican Caribbean, Tern, Lomas Hospitality, Hilton All-Inclusive, Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, RIU Hotels & Resorts, Sandals Resorts, All-Inclusive Marriott Bonvoy, and Amstar DMC. These brands were prominently featured throughout the program via educational segments, site inspections, and destination showcases.

Immersive Education & Experiences: Attendees engaged with product and destination-specific training plus panel discussions, gaining valuable tools to elevate their business and client experiences. Additionally, curated site visits and familiarization opportunities gave Advisors firsthand access to some of the most romantic and sought-after properties in the Mexican Caribbean.

Innovation in Action: A standout moment during the event was Tern’s live unveiling of their latest software updates during their education presentation. The launch sparked thoughtful follow-up questions from engaged Advisors, leading to valuable conversations and meaningful exchanges around the future of travel technology. As a key partner of the Forum, Tern’s presence underscored the growing demand for intuitive, Advisor-first technology in the romance travel space.

“Tern is laser focused on providing the best infrastructure for Travel Advisors to deliver incredible group and wedding travel experiences at scale,” said David Shull, CEO of Tern. “We were thrilled to unveil our newest features at the Romance Travel Forum, especially our Groups enhancements that now allow Advisors to price rooms by occupancy, support variable date ranges, and streamline complex itineraries with fewer clicks.”

RTF continues to uphold its reputation as the leading event for the romance travel market, offering an unmatched return on investment for both Travel Advisors and Suppliers. Event dates and locations for the 2026 edition will be announced soon on www.RomanceTravelForum.com and across their social media platforms.
