The Travel Agent Forum is the only event to cater exclusively to the ever-growing independent travel agent community, and is also the most-attended travel agent event in North America, outside of individual consortia events.
Held twice annually (both a Spring and Fall edition), the Forum is held in partnership with CCRA, which has a membership of more than 8,000 active travel professionals and a reach to more than 40,000 travel agent professionals from around the world.
The Spring edition of the Forum, our largest, draws upwards of 1,500 independent travel agents from across the U.S. and will house a global representation of more than 300 domestic and international travel suppliers offering commissionable products/services, destinations, products/services and other key resources for the independent travel agent.
Beyond the tradeshow floor, each Forum offers extensive training opportunities featuring more than thirty diverse educational sessions from “how to’s” of running an efficient and profitable travel agency; social media topics; sales and marketing for the independent based travel agent; specialized markets and destination and product training.
Specialty Travel Forums, a division of TravelSMG features a cache of exclusive programs for the top-performing travel seller community. This growing portfolio of hosted events offers high level peer discussions, mutual interest one-to-one supplier meetings, experiential destination experiences and more. Events include the highly-acclaimed niche focused Romance Travel Forum and Family Travel Advisor Forum, both geared toward established sellers of these markets. New for 2017 is ELEVATE Select, an invitation-only business event geared toward high-profile agency owners and managers. Each program offers limited positions, awarded based on a stringent selection process. Supplier participation is also limited and includes representation on a global level from the most sought after destinations and vacation providers along with critical business resources for today’s travel seller.
The Romance Travel Forum is an exclusive event designed to educate participating travel agents on the profitability and specialization of selling the romance vacation market. In addition to classroom training on the most relevant romance travel and business related topics, the Romance Travel Forum offers travel agents access to the most sought-after supplier brands in romance travel through one-to-one meetings. Each Forum is held in a destination that is key to romance travel, providing travel agents an unparalleled chance to experience the destinations they are selling their clients. Special features include themed and interactive meal and networking functions, site inspections, and post-event familiarization itineraries.
Participation is limited to 175 travel agents who are hand-selected based on our stringent application process. Suppliers in attendance will showcase an array of commissionable opportunities within these markets, including destinations, hotels and resorts, wholesalers, cruise lines, transportation providers, destination management companies, full-service wedding resources and more.
The Family Travel Advisor Forum is an exclusive event created for today’s family travel seller, with an emphasis on groups, such as multi-generation travel and family reunions, among other opportunities. This top-level program will deliver a dynamic event experience filled with education, networking and destination experiences. This forceful combination affords delegates a unique opportunity to collaborate, learn and build strong business relationships.
Each Forum is held in a destination key to that specific niche market, enhancing the overall experience, and allowing travel agents to gain an overall familiarization of the host destination and increase the breadth of their specialty offerings. Participation is limited.
